Ronald Kabuye
Ronald Kabuye found himself living on the streets of the Katwe slum in Kampala at the age of 5. He was taken into a children’s home in the city, and at age 14 he joined the charity “Brass for Africa” music programs as a trombone player. Ronald quickly progressed to become one of the charity’s first music and life-skills teachers, inspiring and teaching others from similar backgrounds. Through Brass for Africa, Ronald received support to complete a law degree and an International MBA in Arts Innovation.
Through the charity, he has traveled extensively and has performed at the Royal Albert Hall in London and at Joshua Bell’s home in New York. He currently serves as the Programs and Administration Manager for Brass for Africa, leading a team dedicated to creating a brighter future through music for many disadvantaged youth in Uganda.
