DEBASIS Pop and Jazz Orchestra
The DEBASIC pop and jazz orchestra from Sneek and the surrounding area has been active since 1992. In the early years, the band primarily played the
big band repertoire. With the arrival of conductor Theo Brouwer, the orchestra has increasingly performed
in various configurations. This allows the audience to enjoy a compact combo, but also
a large and impressive orchestra with a rhythm section, horns, and strings. The orchestra can
accompany any singer.
DEBASIC is known for its dynamic repertoire. From swinging jazz classics to contemporary
pop arrangements and funky grooves: the orchestra performs every style with flair. This
musical flexibility turns every DEBASIC performance into a celebration with the audience.
During GBE, DEBASIC will perform as a big band with singer Nynke Pauluis.
